Many organisations we speak with, SMBs in particular, are still on the fence about Microsoft 365 Copilot. Microsoft has introduced a low-risk way for SMBs to experiment with Copilot: Copilot in 30 – a new trial giving eligible* organisations access to Microsoft 365 Copilot Business for 30 days.

Important note: As a Copilot Jumpstart Ready Tier Partner, we’re uniquely positioned to offer honest guidance on this trial. We strongly advise against simply enabling the trial and leaving users to explore Copilot on their own. Unstructured trials will only surface usage metrics rather than real business value. More often we see organisations enable Copilot, test a few basic prompts, and completely miss the true productivity gains that this technology offers. We recommend a managed approach guided by a partner like Intelogy that concludes with a comprehensive closeout survey, a business case and pilot deployment plan.

In some Microsoft documentation we have spotted that this is likely to be a limited time offer, however it’s not clear when exactly the offer will expire.

To be eligible for this trial, you can’t currently hold any paid Copilot licences or have previously had a trial licence. You also need to already use Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard or Business Premium. Enterprise licences such as Microsoft 365 E3 and Office 365 E3 are excluded.

If you have under 300 seats, now could be a time to consider Business Premium, which delivers excellent value and a comprehensive feature set for SMBs.
