Following a series of acquisitions, a global leader in sustainable resource management faced growing complexity within its digital ecosystem—operating across multiple Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. To restore efficiency, security, and collaboration, the business partnered with Intelogy to design and deliver a unified Microsoft 365 tenant that would underpin their global operations with a modern, secure, and connected digital workplace.

The business was operating across three different Microsoft 365 tenants and a Google Workspace environment, which made collaboration inefficient and confusing.

Managing users and data across multiple tenants proved to be difficult for administrators, and with no centralised control or visibility across platforms, this also hindered best-practice security and governance.

Security and governance strategy: Intelogy hosted collaborative sessions with each business unit and the in-house project team to design the security and governance strategy for the new tenant. By providing an overview of best practice frameworks and industry guidance, Intelogy helped them make informed decisions for implementing services such as Microsoft Entra, Purview, Defender, and Intune.

Migration: Intelogy completed a multi-tenant migration from three Microsoft 365 tenants (including SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams) and one Google Workspace environment (including Gmail and Google Drive):

Naming conventions & content mapping: Intelogy worked closely with the internal project team to determine naming conventions and content mapping required for the migration. With multiple content repositories, identities and platforms still in daily use, it was critical for the success of the project to keep the content mapping up to date, confirming that all the data was migrated to the correct locations.

Multi-lingual Communication planning: To ensure employees across all business units were kept informed, Intelogy partnered with local communication departments, providing updates and key timelines in nine different languages throughout the project.
